MeridianCrafted is an independent creative goods business selling handcrafted and print-on-demand products through the Etsy marketplace. We operate under the name MeridianCrafted and can be contacted at:

MeridianCrafted is the data controller for any personal data processed in connection with our business activities.

2. Scope of This Policy

This policy covers how MeridianCrafted handles personal data across all our business activities, including:

Sales and order fulfillment through Etsy
Print-on-demand production and fulfillment through Printify
Advertising on Google, Meta (Facebook and Instagram), TikTok, Pinterest, and Etsy Ads
Organic traffic and content marketing through Pinterest
Use of AI tools for product design and content creation
Operation of our internal automated business pipeline

This policy does not cover the independent data practices of Etsy, Printify, Google, Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, Canva, or any other third-party platform. Each operates under its own privacy policy. We strongly encourage you to review them:

3. What Personal Data We Collect and How

3a. Data Received Through Etsy

When you purchase from our Etsy shop, Etsy collects and processes your personal data (name, shipping address, payment information, email) as the primary data controller. MeridianCrafted receives only the information Etsy makes available to sellers for order fulfillment — typically your name, shipping address, and purchase details.

We do not independently collect, store, or process payment information. All payment processing is handled entirely by Etsy.

3b. Data Processed Through Printify

For physical print-on-demand orders (posters, apparel, mugs, totes, canvases), your shipping name and address are transmitted to Printify, our fulfillment partner, to produce and ship your order. Printify acts as a data processor on our behalf, handling your shipping information solely for the purpose of order production and delivery.

Printify may engage its own print providers and shipping carriers as sub-processors. The categories of data transmitted to Printify are limited to: recipient name, shipping address, and order contents. No payment information is transmitted to Printify.

3c. Data Collected Through Advertising Platforms

We run paid advertising campaigns on Google Ads, Meta Ads (Facebook and Instagram), TikTok Ads, Etsy Ads, and Pinterest Ads. These platforms may collect data about your interactions with our advertisements — including impressions, clicks, and conversions — using their own tracking technologies (cookies, pixels, device identifiers, and similar tools).

MeridianCrafted receives only aggregated, anonymized performance data from these platforms (e.g., total clicks, estimated reach, cost per result). We do not receive, access, or process individual-level personal data from any advertising platform.

Each advertising platform operates as an independent data controller of the data it collects when serving our ads. Their collection and use of your data is governed by their respective privacy policies and your privacy and ad settings on those platforms.

3d. Data Collected Through Pinterest Organic Marketing

We use Pinterest to distribute product pins and drive organic traffic to our Etsy listings. Our automated Pinterest publishing tool posts pins to boards we control on our business Pinterest account. This process accesses only our own Pinterest account data via the Pinterest API and does not collect, access, or process any personal data belonging to Pinterest users.

Pinterest independently collects data about users who view, save, or click our pins, in accordance with Pinterest's own privacy policy.

3e. Customer Communications

If you contact us directly by email or through Etsy's messaging system, we receive and retain the content of those communications, including any personal information you choose to share, for the purpose of responding to your inquiry and managing our customer relationships.

3f. Our Automated Business Pipeline

MeridianCrafted operates a proprietary automated business pipeline for product creation, publishing, marketing, and analytics. This system manages our internal operations including product design, listing management, advertising recommendations, and Pinterest scheduling.

This pipeline operates entirely on our own business accounts and internal data (such as product designs, listing copy, sales analytics, and operational metrics). It does not collect, store, or process personal data belonging to customers or third parties beyond what is received through Etsy and Printify in the normal course of order fulfillment, as described above.

The pipeline uses the following third-party tools and services for internal operations:

Printify API — used to programmatically create and manage print-on-demand products and publish them to Etsy. Customer shipping data is handled through this integration as described in Section 3b.

Google Gemini — used as a fallback AI image generation tool. No customer personal data is transmitted to Google Gemini via this pipeline. Inputs are creative design prompts only. Note that Google's standard data processing terms apply to API usage.

Canva — we use Canva's design platform and generative AI tools to create product designs, illustrations, and templates. No customer personal data is transmitted to Canva. Canva independently controls data collected through its platform per its own privacy policy.

Pinterest API — used to automate the posting of product pins to our Pinterest business account. This accesses only our own Pinterest account. No customer personal data is involved.

4. Legal Bases for Processing (GDPR / UK GDPR)

For individuals in the European Economic Area (EEA) and United Kingdom, we rely on the following legal bases under GDPR and UK GDPR:

We use personal data only for the following purposes:

Order fulfillment — to process, produce, and deliver your purchase via Printify and its print providers

Ad performance optimization — we review aggregated, anonymized metrics from advertising platforms to assess and improve our ad campaigns. We do not use individual customer data for this purpose.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not build individual marketing profiles. We do not send unsolicited marketing communications to customers.

6. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We share personal data only in the following circumstances:

Etsy — our primary sales marketplace. Etsy independently controls the data you provide when making a purchase. Order fulfillment information is visible to us in Etsy's seller dashboard and used solely to manage and fulfill your order.

Printify — our print-on-demand production partner. Your shipping name and address are transmitted to Printify to produce and ship physical orders. Printify and its production partners act as processors of this data. Printify's privacy policy governs their handling of this information.

Advertising platforms (Google, Meta, TikTok, Etsy Ads, Pinterest) — we run campaigns on these platforms. We do not directly share your personal information with these platforms. Their systems may independently observe your interactions with our ads via their own tracking tools, subject to your privacy settings on those platforms.

AI tools (Google Gemini, Canva) — used exclusively for internal creative production. No customer personal data is shared with these services.

Legal requirements — we may disclose personal data if required to do so by law or in response to a valid legal process from public authorities.

We do not sell, rent, license, or trade personal data to any third party for their own marketing or commercial purposes.

7. International Data Transfers

MeridianCrafted is based in California, United States. If you are located in the EEA or United Kingdom, your personal data (order fulfillment information passed through Etsy and Printify) may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries.

Where such transfers occur, we rely on the fact that they take place within the context of platforms — Etsy and Printify — that maintain their own international transfer mechanisms (such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards) and are independently subject to applicable data protection law. We do not independently transfer EEA or UK personal data outside those platforms.

For our AI tools (Google Gemini, Canva), no personal data is transmitted. These services are used for internal creative production only.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy:

These platforms may use cookies, pixels, and device identifiers to deliver, measure, and optimize our ads. MeridianCrafted does not control this data collection — it is governed by each platform's privacy policy and your settings on that platform.

11. AI-Generated Content

MeridianCrafted uses AI tools — including Google Gemini and Canva's generative features — to assist in creating product designs, illustrations, and mockups. This AI usage is limited to internal creative production.

No customer personal data is used as input to any AI system. AI-generated images and designs are original creative outputs used for our products. We do not use AI to make automated decisions about customers.

12. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect personal data we hold. Order and customer data is primarily stored within Etsy's and Printify's platforms, both of which maintain their own security programs. We do not maintain independent databases of customer personal data beyond what is temporarily accessible within those platforms' seller dashboards for order management purposes.

No method of data transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of any data.

We may update this policy from time to time as our business activities change or as laws require. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
